About Us

Bernedoodles raised in the middle of family life

We are a small, home-based programme — not a kennel. Our puppies are born in the house, grow up underfoot, and spend their first weeks surrounded by the ordinary noise of a busy family: the kettle, the hoover, the back door, children coming and going. By the time they leave us, none of it worries them.

We keep our litters few and far between on purpose. It means every puppy gets handled every day, gets used to being picked up, brushed and having its paws touched, and goes to its new family already comfortable with people.

Why a Bernedoodle

Bernedoodles take the steady, affectionate nature of the Bernese Mountain Dog and pair it with the intelligence and low-shedding coat of the Poodle. The result is a dog that wants to be with you — happy on a long walk, equally happy flopped at your feet afterwards. They come in mini, medium and standard sizes, so there is usually a Bernedoodle that suits the home you have.

How we raise them

  • Born and raised indoors, in the family room rather than a shed or run.
  • Handled daily from the first week, so being held is normal, not frightening.
  • Introduced to household sounds, different surfaces, and gentle visitors.
  • Started on crate and toilet routines before they go home.
  • Seen by a vet, and sent home with everything you need to carry on.

Choosing a family

We ask questions — about your home, your hours, your other pets, whether you have had a dog before. It is not a test. It is how we make sure the puppy you fall for is the right one for the life you actually live. If a different puppy in the litter would suit you better, we will say so.

If you would like to talk it through, email jerriegannaway@gmail.com. We would rather have a long conversation now than a difficult one later.
