Terms and conditions
These terms apply when you order a puppy from Melissa's Bernedoodles. We have kept them short and readable on purpose.
1. Ordering a puppy
Placing an order through this website is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we send you written confirmation naming the puppy, the price and the expected go-home date. Your puppy is held for you from the moment the order is placed.
2. Price and payment
The price of each puppy is shown on its page and is what you pay — there are no booking fees or surprise extras. You choose your payment method at the checkout and we send the details with your confirmation. A puppy is not released until payment has cleared in full.
3. Changing your mind
Cancellations are covered in our health guarantee and refund policy. In short: tell us early and we will deal with you fairly.
4. Collection
Puppies go home no earlier than eight weeks of age. If a puppy is not ready on the planned date, we will tell you as soon as we know and agree a new one. Where collection is delayed by more than seven days for reasons on your side, a reasonable boarding contribution may apply — agreed with you first, never applied silently.
5. Health
Each puppy is seen by a vet before leaving us. You agree to have your puppy examined by your own vet within 72 hours of collection, and to keep its vaccinations and worming up to date afterwards. Our health commitment is set out in full in the health guarantee.
6. What we cannot promise
Adult size, exact coat colour and coat texture are our honest expectations based on the parents — they are not guarantees, and no responsible breeder can make them one.
7. Your responsibilities
- To provide a safe home, suitable exercise, veterinary care and company.
- Not to resell or pass the dog on without speaking to us first — we will always take a dog back.
- Not to use the dog for breeding where we have agreed it is sold as a pet.
8. Liability
Once your puppy leaves us, its care is in your hands and we cannot be responsible for what happens afterwards. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights or excludes liability where the law does not allow it.
9. This website
We keep photographs, availability and prices as current as we can, but a puppy shown here may already be sold. Availability is confirmed when you contact us. All photographs on this site are ours; please do not reuse them without asking.
